The 25th anniversary of vows Sr. Sviatoslava’s

The solemn Holy Mass was celebrated at 1 pm on August 15, 2020 in the Chapel of St. Joseph of the community of St. Vincent Sisters of Satu-Mare in Uzhhorod, Ukraine. The Liturgy was attended by missionary fathers of the Congregation of the Mission representing the Vice-Province of Sts. Cyril and Methodius who came there from Kyiv – Fr. Leonid Kuklyshyn, CM, Visitor of the Vice-Province, and Fr. Anatolii Tovkan, CM. At the Mass, there were also present Fr. Vitalii Novak, CM, from Odesa, and Mykhailo Talapkanych, CM, as well as relatives of Sister Sviatoslava Ilku who celebrated her anniversary on that day. So, everyone present there thanked God for His gift of vocation on the occasion of celebrating the 25th anniversary of taking vows by Sr. Sviatoslava.

In his sermon, Fr. Vitalii, principal celebrant of that Mass, spoke of the gift of faith which all of us had received and which enabled us to discern our own vocation. He mentioned the first few steps of Sr. Sviatoslava’s calling. Marking the 25th anniversary of person’s taking religious vows is the manifestation of joy, gratitude to God for the gift of faith and endurance. The spirit of the event was extremely joyful giving a demonstration of the huge spiritual family. That provided all of us with unforgettable impressions which filled up our hearts with gratitude to God for those graces we had received. Concluding, I express my appreciation to the Fathers of the Mission for their prayers and support.
