I would like to share my impressions on the retreat I have made which has been very important to me and I guess to every one of us as well. First and foremost, it is a great battle we have to fight against the devil wanting to pull us back and show us values of this world. These are cell phones, with which we find it difficult to part, loud music and thoughts about entertainment. The Holy Mass has introduced us to a more silent environment. We have had a family-like dinner and watched a movie about St. Augustine. The following day has been very rich and interesting. We have learned about the Church that it is not only we, people, who make it, but also saints in heaven as well as souls in the purgatory. And what treasures we have – plenary and partial indulgences! Based on the conference held for us by our parish priest Fr. Henrykh, we have worked in groups to consolidate what we have heard. The Chaplet of the Divine Mercy, Eucharist and the Adoration are the way we have helped souls in the purgatory. We have even more strengthened our friendly community with a joyful evening communication… In the evening, we have watched the movie to the end. Sunday, which is the Day of Lord’s Resurrection, has brought us new impressions. We have learned about Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati whose figure has even more encouraged us to be holy…
I hope this time will bear great fruits, and the Lord will grant us His grace to resist temptations and provocations of our times. Amen.
