June 1 – International Children’s Day (Perechyn)

Holding a feast on the occasion of the International Children’s Day has already become a tradition for St. Augustine’s Parish in the town of Perechyn. This year, it has been held for the third time already.

The event has been joyful and exiting this year, too. Many children coming not only from our parish but from all over our town as well could participate in fun and entertaining activities. To make the feast just perfect, the Marian Youth, the Parish Council and parents were engaged into its organization and preparation work under the supervision of parish priest Fr. Sviatoslav and Sisters Anna, Natalia and Zhofia.

The celebration started with the Holy Mass at 10 am. Then there were so many things that were waiting for the kids: merry-go-rounds, a slide, trampolines, a win-win lottery, a table football game, manicure for small princesses, cookies decoration workshop (the cookies could be eaten immediately after it), creating figures with the help of air balloons and making slimes. Moreover, the feast participants could as well get familiar with the fit-out and mode of operation of a fire truck. Besides, popcorn and cotton candy made the event even sweeter.

Sponsors and parents made sure the kids had tasty burgers, cookies, sweets and various drinks and rides.

As the feast was over, our children returned home glad and overfilled with joy and happiness. There was no one who felt indifferent to the celebration!
