Blessed Martha Wiecka, pray for us!

In the second half of May, every year for ten years in a row, a pilgrimage to the relics of Blessed Martha Wiecka has been taking place in Sniatyn in Frankivsk oblast. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and restrictive quarantine measures, the classic pilgrimage with a large number of people was not organized. However, a solemn Mass was held, and pilgrims could join the prayer through broadcasts on Maria Radio and Catholic Television of the Eternal Word (5,500 views on Facebook anf 1,000 views on YouTube).

The solemn Mass was headed by the Apostolic Administrator of the Greek Catholic Diocese of Mukachevo  Auxiliary Bishop Nil Lushchak OFM  accompanied by a  a Synkellos for the laity of the Mukachevo Diocese  Fr. Serhii Slobodianiuk. The Visitor of the Vice-Province  Fr. Leonid Kuklyshyn СМ, custodian of the sanctuary  Fr. Jan Tchop  СМ and other fathers who came from Kyiv and Odesa co-celebrated the Mass with them.

There were representatives of the branches of the Vincentian Family among the guests and a small group of pilgrims: Daughters of Mercy, Marian Sisters of the Miraculous Medal, АІС Ukraine, Vincentian Marian Youth, Conference of St. Vincent, Association of the Miraculous Medal and the All-Ukrainian Charity Foundation of Depaul Ukraine, as well as local believers. Everyone prayed for an end to the pandemic and for all those affected by it, for all doctors, and for peace in Ukraine, for the hearing of all prayers under the patronage of Marta Wiecka.

The atmosphere during the pilgrimage was spiritual, solemn and pleasant. After the pilgrimage, all those present continued their communication during the lunch in a tent near the sanctuary. The weather turned out to be sunny and good.

After the pilgrimage, the spiritually enriched participants went home.
