Visit of the General Superior of the Congregation Mission to Ukraine – Day 1

Today, Monday, March 10th, the Superior General of the Congregation of the Mission, Father Tomaž Mavrič CM, began his visit to Ukraine to the Vice-Province of Saints Cyril and Methodius. Unfortunately, due to the aggression of the russian federation, he could not fly directly to Ukraine, as all flights to Ukraine have been canceled for three years due to hostilities. We met him at the airport in Krakow. On the way, we visited our confreres from the Polish Province in Piekary, where the “Training Center ‘Good News 2000′” is located. The confreres presented the current situation of the institution to the Father General and showed him the new investments. Then we were invited to lunch at the Provincial and Formation House in Krakow. Father Tomasz met with the Visitor of the Polish Province, Father Paweł Holc CM, the confreres of the house, and the seminarians. After lunch, the Father General departed for Lviv. In Lviv, the Vice-Province of Saints Cyril and Methodius has its youngest house, which was founded less than five years ago. Father Tomaž will spend the night in Lviv, and tomorrow he will go to Kyiv.
