Receiving the Sacrament of Anointing

On Sunday, June 26, Jan Sobilo bishop-assistant of the diocese of Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhya visited our parish. He gave the Sacrament of Anointing to nine young people (five of them – foreign students from Africa, and four from the Vincentian Youth of Maria (VYM), and three young people also received special blessing.

The Service gathered all the parishioners, prayers and songs were heard by the three languages (Russian, English and French). The atmosphere in the church was full of abundance of different cultures and nations, sounds like an anthem “Thee, O God, we praise” – «the holy Church throughout all the world: doth acknowledge thee».
