Feast of St. Vincent de Paul in Svaliava

Keep awake…

That was the topic of a spiritual meeting in Svaliava on St. Vincent de Paul’s Day. At the invitation of members of St. Frederic Ozanam Conference, guests arrived from Perechyn and Dovhe. We started the feast day with the Holy Mass presided by Fr. Vladyslav from Perechyn. In his sermon, the Father pointed out the importance of prayer in human life by citing St. Vincent: “Give me a man of prayer – and we shall do anything together”.

After the Mass, there was a reflection on the message Superior General Fr. Gregory Gay addressed to us. Later, the solemnity continued at a festive table in a parish house as we communicated with each other and enjoyed delicious dishes cooked for us by our brothers and sisters of St. Vincent Society in Svaliava. We are sincerely grateful for the wonderful feast we celebrated together with you.
