Feast of St. Vincent de Paul and the renewal of vows

The Day of Solemnity of St. Vincent, the patron of Congregation, and the Day of renewal of vows were solemnly honored on October 1 in Congregation of Sisters of Charity of St. Vincent – UGCC.

The Divine Liturgy in our St. Joseph the Betrothed monastery church was headed by Archbishop and Metropolitan of Lviv Ihor Vozniak. Fr. Petro Baran (CSsR), hieromonk, Dr. Justin Boyko, studite, syncellus in matters of monasticism of the Lviv Archdiocese of UGCC concelebrated. 

During the Holy Liturgy, the sisters of Congregation renewed their vows. All the participants prayed together for the long-awaited peace in Ukraine. Head Superioress of the Congregation, s. Tereza Yusypiv thanked the guests and parishioners for joint prayer and active support of parish life.

After “For many more years” acclamation and taking picture together, guests, parishioners and sisters had shared treat and conversations in the parish conference hall. Singing of the children’s parish choir, directed by the regent s. Tereza Yusypiv, united participants in a special way.

We are grateful to God for this celebration, for the experience of consecrated life in the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of St. Vincent UGCC. We glorify God and thank Him for the great saint, St. Vincent, our Patron, the Founder of numerous congregations and charitable societies, which continue to follow the Vincentian spirituality and charism of the Founder with their service, prayer and hard work for the Kingdom of God.
