“Your life is worth living.”
Life is a unique gift that we get. Every day, every moment is worth living to the fullest, discovering your new horizons, growing spiritually, and creating strong bonds with people around you. This year’s summer camp of the Vincentian Marian Youth (VMY) was held under the motto “Your life is worth living,” it gathered 60 young people from July 15 to 22, 2024, in a picturesque place in the village of Syniak, in Transcarpathian.
This camp became a real source of inspiration, spiritual enrichment, and new acquaintances for participants from literally all corners of Ukraine.
The priests of Congregation of the Mission from the Vice-Province of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Fr. Jan Vakulchak CM, Fr. Petro Mazur CM, br. Vitalii Beliak and s. Yanina Luptovych, DC, from the congregation of the Daughters of Charity, organized this event; they created a unique atmosphere of love and support with their work and dedication.
The camp’s program was rich and varied. Daily conferences became a space for discussing important life situations and finding answers to important questions. Common prayers and adorations brought us together, giving us a feeling of unity and closeness to God.
One of the most vivid events of the camp was climbing to the top of the “Obava Stone.” This exciting journey became not only a physical challenge and excitement from the views but also a symbol of spiritual growth, reminding us of the importance of overcoming difficulties on the way to the goal.
In addition, the participants had the opportunity to participate in various activities to strengthen friendships and create unforgettable memories. Games, contests, and even performances added some bright colors to the charm of memories.
Let us express our sincere gratitude to everyone who participated in this camp. We thank the sponsors and organizers for their dedicated work and love for young people. We thank the participants for their openness, activity, and desire for spiritual growth. We especially thank God for His blessing and the opportunity to spend this wonderful time together despite the terrible time of war.
This year, we visited this magical place again, and we are incredibly grateful to the parishioners for this.
We are sure that the camp with the slogan: “Your life is worth living” became a real source of inspiration and spiritual renewal for all participants. For sure, these unforgettable moments will remain in the hearts of everyone for many years and will become an impulse for new achievements in the future.
See you soon!
Sincerely, VMY!
