TRACES OF JESUS’S SUFFERING

Praised be Jesus Christ!

During this Lent, we had a chance to experience a retreat with a junior group of children from Svitlytsia day care center. Children were looking forward to that day. At first, we checked out the program, and then a tasty breakfast followed. Thereafter, we got ready for the Liturgy. Afterwards, the Holy Mass took place, during which kids glorified the Lord with their genuine prayer and ringing singing. It was followed by a delicious and warm lunch.

In His Providence, the Lord planned joyful moments for us having fun on a hill! Although it was a bit cold, we enjoyed the beauty of nature and used that time to praise God. We returned home feeling wet and cold, but full of joy and gratitude. There were minor changes made to our program, however, we had enough time both for a conference and work in groups. Everything was so interesting… We delved into Jesus’s suffering and tried to understand what He went through to save us. Thereafter, we watched a good movie, said our prayers and got ready to sleep for a looong time. In the morning, a usual Sunday program began in Svitlytsia. We waited until adults came, and then played and enjoyed our Sunday.

We hope those graces we have received during our retreat will bear good fruits within our families, at school and in our whole life. We thank the Lord for His love to us.
