During the trip of the Head of the Board of Depaul Ukraine, Father Vitaliy Novak, to Chicago city, he met with our permanent patron. And in gratitude, he presented a picture with the image of St. Vincent. The author of the picture is a homeless person from the city of Odessa (Ukraine), Vasily. Drawing De Paul, he tried to portray in his features kindness and care hat he had given to those in need throughout his life. Because it is all of great importance to our artist.
The portrait came out not of the academic hands, so the lines could not be called clear and the color palette impeccable, but it made him say so “folk” – just as Vincent was, close and indifferent to people. The picture has already become even a relic of our Foundation and hung in the Day Center in Odessa.
Now she is known far beyond the ocean!
This proves once again that each of us has a soul and talents, despite the circumstances of our lives.
