Ministrants meet at house of Congregation of the Mission in Kyiv

Seven boys from Kharkiv and Balta arrived for a ministrants meeting which took place on April 20-22, 2018 in Kyiv. The meeting began with a joint vigil held together with the youth of Kyiv-Zhytomyr Diocese in Berdychiv. That night unified young people in their prayer for vocation by Our Lady of Berdychiv Icon. During that prayerful vigil, young people heard stories of 12 Saints and Blessed who followed Jesus and were not disappointed afterwards. Blessed Sr. Marta Wiecka was among those Saints and Blessed. She was a Daughter of Charity who lived and worked in Sniatyn where she gave up her life for her neighbor.

On the following day, boys came back to “God’s Gift” house located in Kyiv.

Their Saturday meeting started with the Holy Rosary Prayer and the Holy Liturgy. In the afternoon, seminarians and ministrants visited Pyrohovo Museum, where they could get familiar with the cultural and architectural heritage of Ukraine.

As custom has it, a joint team of seminarians and ministrants played a football match against a team of Angolan students. 2.5 hours into the game, the score was 8:8. Friendship wins!

During a solemn Sunday Mass, we thanked God for that time and for all those gifts He granted us with.
