Praised be Jesus Christ!
Dear brothers and sisters of the Vincentian Family
of the Vice-Province of Sts. Cyril and Methodius,
In his message to the whole Vincentian Family dated September 3, 2018, our Superior General Fr. Tomaž Mavrič suggested that we should “renew and deepen our relationship with the Saints, Blessed, and Servants of God of the Vincentian Family around the world as models of the Vincentian Charism” in the year to come.
Responding to that call from our Superior, I asked Fr. Tomasz Ważny, CM, to prepare brief life stories of two our Saints and Blessed for every month of 2019 stressing one core particular and characterizing trait of every one of them. These texts will be available at our web-site. Therefore, I urge you to use them at our meetings, days of retreat, and for your personal reflections. Let us read these life stories, talk about lives and activities of these Saints at our meetings. Let us deepen our knowledge of the Vincentian Charism which helped those prominent persons grow in their personal lives to the rank of sainthood.
I would like here to express my gratitude to Fr. Tomasz Ważny for fulfilling his task and to all those who will proofread and publish the texts at our web-site.
Have a blessed Christmas! May Jesus be born in our hearts and strengthen us with His peace, hope and empathy to others so that we could bring them wherever there are anxiety, hopelessness and indifference.
May the upcoming Christmas be the time of peace, happiness, and joy which we shall share in a community of our family and friends.
Fr. Jan Trzop, CM
