Dear confreres, members of Vincentian Family!

«…I was a stranger and you welcomed me…» (Мт 25,35)

A global initiative of the Vincentian Family

to celebrate the 400th Anniversary

of the Vincentian Charism in 2017.

To celebrate the 400th anniversary of the birth of the Vincentian charism the leaders of the international Vincentian Family would like to invite all memberes of the Vincentian Family around the world to conseder how we might better wecome the strangers in our communities by making it the focus of the 400thAnniversary of the Vincentian Charism.

This story brings to life a gospel text at the heart of our shared Vincentian calling – Matthew 25:35 “I was a stranger and you welcomed me”.

The year of welcoming the stranger will run from January 1st to December 31st 2017. It will be launched formally by Fr. Gregory Gay CM, the Superior General of the Congregation of the Mission, on the 15th of May 2016 – the Feast of Pentecost.

May this Holly Week and Easter celebration, as well as the whole Easter season, be for us all a chance to reflect: how we might better welcome the strangers?

 Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!
