Congratulation on Easter from the Vice-Visitor Fr. Jan Trzop CM

Please accept these wishes as an invitation to reflection on Easter morning.

Our Jubilee of the Charism encourages us to reflect on our vocation and mission entrusted to us, and Easter is an opportune time for this.

  • Easter morning is a source of reflection on personal life of each of us.

Easter morning tells us that life appeared to be stronger than death and love appeared to be stronger than laws of nature. This morning continues until now and illuminates the darkness of night. In this atmosphere of the Easter morning, we can start everything from the beginning. Perhaps we are accustomed to life in the dark, and therefore we live between truth and lie, between good and evil, between love and hate. The boundaries of these poles of our lives are blurred, reality is blurred and we are losing our way.  The Great Friday is followed by the Easter morning. It brings the light. In the rays of this light one can see everything more clearly, more accurately, and of course more sincerely.

  • Easter morning also shows the way of our vocation.

In the morning we meet the Angel near the empty coffin; he was sitting on the pushed aside stone and said: «He is not here, for he has risen, as he said». (Matthew 28:6).

An Angel is a good witness who releases the best in a human. We are Christians – the witnesses of the Resurrection. We are the heirs of the Vincentian Charism and of all the achievements of Vincentian Family generations. We are angels of the good news. Going into the world, we must bear the good news – a kind word, a word that strengthens, supports, awakens the remnants of hope and sometimes even the good which is covered with fear. The word that creates but not kills. Going into the world we must bow down over human suffering, poverty, loneliness … This is our vocation and our dignity.

I wish all of us to be such angels.
