Celebration of 13th anniversary of God’s Gift House blessing

It is already for the 13th year in a row that God’s Gift House receives everyone in need of support, counsel, kind word or just food and clothes… As one Missionary there once said, you will be always welcomed and heard here; if you are after a trip – you will be given a towel and water, fed and given attention to, helped in word and in deed. In this way or another, every visitor of this facility becomes a gift for the House and the community of the Missionary Fathers. The Fathers take care of the homeless, lonely unconnected persons and poor people working together with the Marian Sisters of the Miraculous Medal whose community is located in an adjoining house. They carry out their simple and silent ministry serving people in need, just like their founder St. Vincent de Paul used to do.
The celebration of the 13th anniversary of blessing of God’s Gift House began with the adoration. The Liturgy was headed by Fr. Svorad Duda, OP. During the Holy Mass, people recalled and prayed for Visitors of the Vice-Province of Sts. Cyril and Methodius: Fr. Paul Roche, CM, Fr. Tomaž Mavrič, CM, as well as current Superior of the Vice-Province Fr. Jan Trzop, CM.
God’s Gift House is the heart of the Vice-Province and the hub of the Vincentian Family in Ukraine. This heart is burning, kind, full of God’s love and mercy, ardent in serving those in harsh life conditions.
The Holy Mass ended with the Litany of St. Vincent de Paul and honoring the relics of St. Vincent de Paul.
Among guests of the House on that day there were Principal of the Seminary of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ Fr. Ruslan Mykhalkiv accompanied by Prefect Fr. Borys Khilko and seminarians, Director of Caritas Spes Fr. Petro Zharkovskyi.

Moreover, during an agape, Missionary Fathers, sisters, guests and friends of the House had a chance to talk. Saint Vincent, pray for us!
Thanks be to God!
